About Shane

Shane Clark is a co-founder and President of EuroAmerican Financial Advisors (EAFA), a cross-border advisory firm headquartered in Sevilla, Spain, that works with Americans living in 16 EU countries, including France.

His work centres on investment management for US citizens abroad: building diversified global portfolios that account for the risk, regulatory and tax constraints that apply specifically to American taxpayers living outside the United States. He brings more than ten years of experience in international financial markets.

Before EAFA, Shane founded and ran his own boutique investment advisory firm, and spent several years as a portfolio manager at a trust bank in Michigan. An American expatriate himself, he has worked as an independent consultant to start-ups and SMEs in London and Brussels, and has taught graduate courses in financial markets and economics at Strathclyde Business School in Scotland.

He holds an MSc in Financial Economics and an MPhil in Economics from the University of Strathclyde, and a BA in Business and Finance from Aquinas College, Michigan. He holds the US Series 65 Investment Adviser licence and the European Financial Planner (EFP) designation, the highest level of EU financial planning certification (EQF Level 6).
