Affiliate Disclosure

Last updated: June 18, 2026

Some of the links on EasyFranceNow are affiliate links. Here's what that means and how we handle it.

What an affiliate link is

If you click one of these links and then sign up for a service or buy something, we may get a small commission. It doesn't cost you anything extra. The price is the same whether you use our link or go to the company directly, and sometimes our readers get a slightly better deal.

We disclose this to follow the U.S. Federal Trade Commission's rules on endorsements (16 CFR Part 255).

Why we use them

Keeping these guides researched, tested, and up to date takes time and money. Affiliate commissions help cover that, which is what lets us keep most of the site free.

What we link to

The affiliate links here point to services Americans tend to need when moving to France. That can include:

  • Money transfers and multi-currency accounts, such as Wise

  • Banks and other financial products

  • Health insurance, expat insurance, and insurance brokers

  • US expat tax preparation

  • VPNs and tools for reaching your US accounts from abroad

  • Visa, apostille, translation, and relocation services

  • Moving supplies and books on Amazon

Affiliate links and our recommendations

Affiliate links don't change what we recommend. We only point you to things we think are useful for an American settling in France. A commission never decides whether we cover a company or how we talk about it. Nobody pays us for a good review. If something has a real downside, we say so, and when there's a good option that pays us nothing, we mention it too. If we ever feel we can't be fair about something, we'll tell you.

Our own products

Some of what we offer, like the France Navigator and our premium relocation services, are our own products rather than affiliate links. When we recommend those, the payment comes to us directly.

Not professional advice

Everything here is general information, not legal, immigration, tax, financial, or insurance advice. Rules and personal situations change, so check the details with a qualified professional or the official authority before you act. Our Terms and Conditions and Legal Notice cover this in more depth.
